Hello all,

I was looking up some information concerning maintenance on my newly purchased used Jaguar X-type 2005 Platinum color. Got it for 6,100 bucks. 101,450 miles. Bought it cash because I hate car notes. I plan to be here a lot asking how to perform certain maintenance issue myself, because I just called a local Jaguar dealership concerning how much the 100,000 mile service would be damn near coughed up a lung. 885 bucks. Really would like to keep that lower by learning to do most of it myself.

Welcome! These cars aren't all that difference maintenance wise than most. Just that some (most) of the parts cost more.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
