Hello everyone.

I live in West Des Moines, Iowa. I've always wanted an XK8, as I thought they were the most beautiful cars ever made.

I bought a 2001 Jaguar XK8 just over a year ago. At the time, it had an entire 38K miles on it. The paint was flawless with no dents, it had new tires, a nice interior, and the convertible top was decent (had a few scratches in the fabric that was an easy fix)....all for less than $10,000! It's always been my dream car, so my wife encouraged me to buy it (I have a wonderful wife!)

I had owned a Jaguar X-Type several years ago because AWD cars were not very popular in 2005. I knew maintenance would not be cheap, but I ended up being very lucky, as it was minimal.

I also "own" a 3rd Jag, but I doubt anyone on this forum will be able to trouble-shoot this one for me, as "Jag" is what everyone calls my wife (her initials).

This forum has already helped "saved my life" once, so I decided to join so I could also share my experiences/issues.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
