I'm a newbie that just took the plunge on a 1969 E type Roadster (purchased at the Barrett-Jackson Auction this week). I've always wanted a good driver quality E Type 6-Cyl but didn't want to chase the Series 1 prices and boy do I already love this car! Looking forward to learning much from the collective wisdom of the forums here and I already realize that what I DON'T know would fill volumes of books. Also looking forward to driving the car in Northern California!

Wow, thanks all for the warm welcome! I am in absorption mode right now, trying to get all the info I can, and have ordered up things like shop manuals, etc. My first order of business, once the car has been shipped here, will be to replace all fluids: oil, brake fluid, transmission oil, rear end. I checked the carb oil and it looks full and clean so probably won't mess with that just yet, especially as the car seems to be running fine. I'm still searching the forums for good info on jacking the car up (onto 4 jack stands) and it has been helpful, but I haven't found any photos or video that help my visual-learning-oriented mind.
Beautiful car, congratulations and welcome to the forum. You should be able to get valuable information here when you need it. I'm sure you're "itching" to go out and drive it for the first time (if the rain finally subsides). Enjoy!
