Default Newbie CD player question

I just purchased a 2000 S Type....my dream car. I'm over the moon. I have a beginner question. It is equipped with a 6 CD changer but I'd like to play just one to test. Can I load just one disc and have it play?

Welcome to the forums Sherry17,

That should be OK. With the 6 CD units, if there isn't a CD in one or more slots, it just gives a "not found" message when those slots are selected.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-mid-atlantic-65/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

From one S-type owner to another... Welcome. The S-type forum is populated with a very friendly group and contains a wealth of knowledge. You might want to ask your question in the appropriate forum which can be found here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/

If you are missing the owner's manual, I believe there is a link in the "stickies" section of the forum for a download of the document. Yours is a "pre-facelift" model, so unfortunately my owner's manual (post-facelift) won't help.
