Hi. My name is Bob, I live in the greater New Orleans area. I've always loved the look of the 80's and 90's cars. Tomorrow, I take delivery of my first Jaguar. It's a 1995 Vanden Plas. The previous owner took excellent care of it and the body and interior are perfect and there are only minor repairs to be made. Then care rides very well and it has low miles. (I sent it to the dealership for a pre-purchase inspection, and they were amazed at how good shape it's in.) I'm pretty excited and I expect I'll be around here quite a bit in order to learn more about the car.
I've always been a BMW enthusiast, and bought not one, not two, but 3 e28's. That's the mid 80's 5 series. Mine are all 88's. I'm unloading one and my son drives one, and will also keep the 3rd one. Not the prettiest examples of e28's, but I love them. We got the Bentley manual, and made many, many repairs ourselves.
Back to the VP, it's been my other dream car, and now I'll get to enjoy it.
I"m sure, I'll be looking for advice on the best repair shops in the N.O. area to work with, unless I can make a repair myself. Oh, and I"ll need a repair manual. Thanks.

That's how I got my Jaguar; husband was skulking on Craig's List and said, "THIS is my all time favorite dream car! If I had my way, THIS is the car I would buy!" And he did! Then he gave it to me!
