Hello and Merry Christmas.....

Another little Englander, well Welsh Celt actually... joining the ranks...

I currently have a 2003 STR and 2006 Mini Cooper S Convertible,

Past rides

2007 Merc E320CDI,
98 M3 EVO,
2003 CLK,
96 E36 328I,
92 Seat Ibiza Sportline one of only 500 brought to the UK
Searay 185 Powerboat
And i like jumping out of planes...

Thanks for the warm welcome, modding already under way.....

Drilled and slotted discs

Rear stainless system

K&N although fabricating a custom air intake/box hopefully in the new year

Pulley sat in the boot ready for action...

Looking forward to contributing to the forum in all areas as time permits

Nice! You'll have plenty of company in the modding department. Lots of info in the S-Type forum on that stuff. And please if you do something new, document/write up and take pics if at all possible!

As for the airbox - a custom elbow is really a must-do in my opinion. Other than that, the factory airbox is pretty good. Don't do the open element in the engine bay intake, too much heat from the blower.

Glad to have ya on board!

I like a challenge...!.. i know people say don't do the open intake but i have a very helpful Jag tech who has an STR and he is very keen to have a play to build something one off, i have even sourced a S type bonnet to experiment with a recessed air duct...... we may not do it, but wont be for the want of trying, we will build a custom air pipe ie mafioso style, shrouding and heatshield with custom cold feed from exisitng air duct and through bonnet/hood. Will deffo get pics when i get it off the ground.
