Default Newbie from Pittsburgh, USA

Hello all,

My name is Ian and I'm from the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA area.

I have owned a 2004 X-type for several years now and like to do most of my own mechanical work wherever possible.

I guess you could call me an Anglophile......I wrench on and restore classic British roadsters and motorcycles as a hobby. You DON'T want to know my actual real life occupation...trust me

In addition to the Jag, I drive a 2002 MINI Cooper and a 1969 Triumph TR-6. Other rides include a Cadillac, Ford F-350 Truck, and a 1968 VW Beetle.

My bikes are: 1969 Triumph 650 TR-6R Tiger, 1972 Triumph T-120 Bonneville 650 bobber, 1978 Triumph T-140V Bonneville 650, and a 1996 Triumph 1200 Trophy.

The X-type is a daily driver which I chose because AWD is a must in the snowy winters we have around here. It has exceeded my expectations in that regard.

I'm jealous of the bike collection.
Of course we DO want to know what your real job is.

The X-Type (with 4 good winter tires) was the vehicle of choice in my family when we got dumped upon with multiple feet of snow this past winter. It performed better than the Ford F-350 4X4 truck and a Jeep Cherokee that I've sold since then!

Does my Triumph addiction show that much?

Well, if you must know, I am a Funeral Director in the real world....don't knock it - it's recession-proof!

LOL....now there's finally a NEW joke surrounding my occupation! Over the years, I'd thought I'd heard them all.

PS: Not to be ****, but it's spelled "cemetEry"

No need to worry...when I'm online here, I'm off-duty and not looking for any more "worK' to do unless it involves some type of British vehicle.
