Default Newbie with a question about finding an XJS wing

Hello all.
i'm new here. About to buy a 96XJS Convertible. i want to put a wing on it, but can't find any used wings (or new for that matter). Looking for a facelift type wing. They seem to be very rare these days. My question is, what would be the best way to go about looking for one? Of course i can 1) put up a wanted ad on this site (i think), 2) look on ebay, do net searches, etc. But would there be a better way? i'm going to have it prepared and painted and installed in good taste. So, i just need a wing as it's hard to find cars with them. The cars i'm look at are not / would not become collector cars, but are nice nonetheless. Very much welcome your thoughts.

Welcome to the forums noppojp,

Good to have you with us.

The XJS is one of the rarer models and we don't have too many members (36) in Japan. Only 1 other matches your profile - member Some Day, Some Day.with a 1992 XJS V12 Coupe. Could be a useful contact as most XJS owners face the problem of locating parts.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xjs-x27-32/ to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the Other Areas Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/other-areas-43/ to find other members in your part of the World.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thank you kindly. i'm in Japan now, but from this year, i will be in both the US and Japan going forward, going back and forth. Gotta get the car first before i can list my car. The XJ40 i had in '99 doesn't count for obvious reasons. Thank you Graham for the steps to post my need. Very helpful. Once i get the car, i'll gladly add car details. Been looking at an XJS for years, so i'm stoked to be able to get one. Just need to be in the US to get one. Also so glad to have XJS gods on this site. It was an XJS god on another site (jag-lovers, dare i mention) that opened my eyes to XJS ownership.
