Default Newbie from RI

Greetings all. Just bought a 2002 XJ8 Sapphire Blue with 88k for chump change, honestly upon ride by at a friend's dealership expected it to be 3 to 4 times the price. 88k and truly pristine condition. Closest thing to being a British car guy is the 2010 Mini convertible I recently purchased. British? Well, not really, we know who now makes the Mini. And, it is BMW's that have been my passion for some years. As such, I have a nice mix including a concours winning 1988 M6, an 840Ci and 530 E39 and 2013 X5 daily drivers. Eager to become familiar with the car's bugaboos and hoping there are few. Seems it has the second generation timing guides, very quiet on start up and rides runs very nicely. As with the M6 and 840, it will get limited use and hence not terribly concerned about repair/maintenance cost. Or should I be??? Regards, Jeff
