Slowly finding out how best to utilize this forum. I have a 2005 X-type 3.0 with a few problems that I am trying to sort out as the car is in good enough shape I'd hate to sell for parts or mechanic special. I live in the greater Vancouver area city of Surrey, which unfortunately doesn't seem to have a lot of Jaguar mechanics. I am hoping that knowledge and parts will be available here. One thing I did notice was the dates of posts, which the x-type newbie area had 2006 entries as the latest. That could mean I am not educated about the site and it shows.

It's possible the latest post for Your Specific Problem is 2006, but that only means no one has asked your question(s) lately.
Sometimes it takes a couple or 3 days for people to fall by and see something new.
