Noob from Lake Havasu City, AZ
Just a quick hello to say hey, signed up in here tonight, have a 1952 XK120 FHC inherited from my father in law. He had owned it since 1966, has been restored as a daily driver type of resto, with fresh 3.4L engine & new clutch, Borrani spoked wheels which were on the car when he got it in the mid-'60's, and new red leather interior & black lacquer. This car runs like a watch, took some extra time to dial it in but was well worth the effort.
Glad to meet all!

Hello, Mark,
I wonder how many cars on the road today will be around for people to admire in 70 years.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

A huge thanks to all who have responded with a "welcome", much appreciated! Will be able to contribute more as I learn this car, took awhile to figure out all the idiosyncratic details with British cars. Positive ground is nothing new to me as older heavy equipment used a reverse field starter & generator(positive ground system). Not difficult, but can confuse you if you don't pay attention to polarity.
I'm also a retired heavy equipment mechanic, have worked on everything from aircraft to cars, motorcycles, and huge construction equipment. I'm learning as I go along.
