Noob with XJ 12 Coupe
I am finally putting my 1976 Jaguar XJ 12 C back together after stripping it down for a color change, it went from Green Sand to Regency Red.
I took it pretty far apart, removing the hood, trunk lid, fenders, doors, glass and interior off of it. I stripped the old color down to bare metal everywhere.
I also removed the vinyl top and the trim associated with it.
It is now repainted and mostly together. It has been apart a long time and I have forgotten some of the details of where things go. I am currently putting the glass back in the doors I am hoping that this forum can help jog my memory.

Welcome.
Nice car that Coupe, and a V12 to boot. A real Jaguar.
I am no help on those windows, as I have never played with them. I do believe they are, "fiddly", is the polite wording.
The gurus on the XJ-S1-S2-S3 section should be able to prompt you.

Welcome to the forum Dave,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I've often found the diagrams from the Parts Catalogues helpful to show how things go back together - especially door components.
Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
