Oh boy!!
Hi all,
Have been lusting after an F Type for about a year now and ended up buying one today. This is my first Jaguar, I traded in a 2013 MB SLK 250 and previous to that i had a BMW Z4. The SLK was nice, but it didn't put the smile on my face that driving the Z4 did... the smile is back. I'm impressed, the car is sweet, even if it doesn't have a stick shift. I had been thinking of getting one with more options, but ended up going with this one, even though it is a base model, because it only has 9018 miles on it! After all is said in done, I couldn't resist the low mileage. I'm guessing there are things i can do to enhance the look, lack of options? It does have the "deluxe" sound system, which sounds better than the MB Harman Kardon that I had. I'm also surprised that the rag top is actually quieter than the MB hard top convertible. Over all, just drove it 60 miles home on the interstate and am impressed with the overall ride. I look forward to learning from y'all about what i've done.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I definitely have a driving gene and a sports car addiction, i love the feeling of a great car that you can feel one with, it's all very Zen lol. i look forward to getting the feel of my car, learning its moves and abilities. Time for a road trip.
Okay, while i am pretty mechanically inclined (i've restored 4 historical homes), I haven't really worked on cars since the used Nova i had a long time ago... things have changed. Still, i'm pretty audacious, if i can find it on youtube, i'll try it.
One thing i have seen several times now is talk about increasing HP by exhaust system? Am i reading that right? Would appreciate any links to info that explains that for the F Type.
thanks again for the welcome everyone

Those who become one with their machines are the best pilots/operators/drivers.
Zen has nothing to do with it. It's just understanding the machine and the love of a job well done....And that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
