I have an 86 XJ6 which leaking oil around where the dipstick Is located. Oil is leaking onto the O2 sensor and exhaust manifold producing smoke when warmed up. The dipstick seal is missing, have one on order. Are there any other possible sources of oil leaks in this area? Thanks.

A regular source of oil leaks on many Jaguar models is the cam cover gaskets.

Follow Norri's link in post #3 to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
