Default Old Jaguar Owner

I am currently the owner of a 2001 XJ8 VDP with just ovr 158,000 Miles on it....
I have been threw a lot with this car meaning the following
  1. New cable from the battery to the engin
  2. New coolent system
  3. New Transmision
  4. All new coil paks (to my knolage)
  5. and spark pluge
  6. one new o2 sensor
  7. all new seals and and all new timeing chains both sides
  8. AC refill
  9. new throtal body
  10. all the fluid flushes
  11. new head lights
  12. new transmission lines
  13. and much more little things
Now the car was runing good for a few mounths then a few months ago it starts missfire ans start to have issues one agian and the car idles very very ruff and has a knock from the lower half of the moter....

I have one machanic that has told me numrious times that my ECU is bad and that I need to go to jag to get a new one installed I do not want to do this if I do not have to because they want 4k for a new one.... could I buy a used one from the junk yard and get my key reprogramed to it????

these are the codes that they car is currently coming up with
  1. P1314
  2. P1313
  3. P1316
  4. P0010
  5. P0020
  6. P308
  7. P307
  8. P303
  9. P1647
Then after this the reccomendaion is that the car needs a new engin.... which I do not want to dump another 10k to do...

Please someone please give me some light to this situation
thank you so much!!!!

I can see you've already found your way to the X308 forum so no need fo a link to it from me.
