Old member ...New Car
I've been a member for some years but don't haven't posted much. I sold my X308 in August 23 and just took possession of my first 1994 Xj40. Unfortunately the seller did not have the key so that was my 2nd investment. The vehicle had sat for 2 years of not more and so my thoughts was that the motor would be locked up. Which would explain the price I paid. Imagine my surprise when she fired up for the first time! Since then it's been a tire here. Fuel additive there. And charging battery. I've recently ran into some challenges and shebis not starting. I can't wait to dive in to this wealth of knowledge!!
Welcome to the forums dakico968,
You struck lucky with the XJ40. Threy don't usually respond well to sitting unattended for long periods.
As you've been a member for a while, you won't need any link from me to the XJ40 model forum. However, if you haven't seen it, please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums and your latest Jaguar.
