I've been reading various XK8 posts on this website for about 1 1/2 years, now. In fact, this has been such a part of my routine that I neglected the first rule - I apparently forgot to post the initial information about me and my 2006 Jaguar XK8 convertible. I'm a retired Delphi engineer in Dayton, Ohio. The car is Topaz blue with a dark blue convertible top, and now with 80,000 miles on it. It just passed this 80,000 mile with a dealer checkup with flying colors. I bought the car about the time I started reading the website, and the website helped me determine what to look for in a used model. My only issue was the need to replace the spark plugs and coil packs several months after I bought the car. It runs fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with the mechanical performance. My only issue is with a cosmetic blemish on the convertible top, apparently unwittingly done by the previous owner. That is the subject of my first post.

Welcome to the forum lluckyx4,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I know you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Midwest Region forum by following this link US Midwest - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
