I joined yesterday with a question and got straightened out, I THINK!

I have scoured this site previously and found the answer. My brakes were hard, like there was no power boost. Doing a search I found the problem to be a simple tube from the brake booster. There was a valve in the middle and sure enough just like the poster stated, that valve has a tendency to rot. $79 part and back up and running.
Today I received the answer to yesterdays question, thanks Thermo, and find this site a thrill. Please don't be offended by my less than quirky behavior.

Welcome to the forum parforbob.

Less than 'quirky' is somewhat unusual around here.

We have some great Quirks that will help you along.

PS Help the guys help you and include model details in a signature.

Good to see you.

Welcome to the forum parforbob,

I saw Chris had responded to your question after I'd moved it to the X-Type section. Good to hear you've found the answer by whatever method!

I'll give you the direct link to the tech section again - https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-14/ for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top there is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You may also like to visit the US Southern MidWest Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/southern-midwest-ar-la-ms-ky-tn-al-67/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham
