Talking PoliteXJ8

PoliteXJ8 signing in via Cleveland Heights, OH... Loved jags since I was a kid in Oklahoma. Finally I got my chance to own a few. Been hooked ever since.

Fixing them is fun and cost effective. My first jag was a 1990 XJ6 straight six, them I acquire 2 1999 XJ8's and finally the 2009 XK/Series XKR Convertible. I've horned my jag mech skills on the XJs when I was met with outrageous repair prices at the Dealer.

In 2008, I went to Coventry West to buy a key and have it paired. At the time I was told I needed a new engine, cost: 11,000. Seven years later, said Jaguar, with an additional 90,000 miles, is still purring like a kitten.

Since then, I have learned to change everything from the primary and secondary tensioners, replace cam shafts, and full suspension replacement, etc. Just finished full suspension on the Green Goblin.

Will post photos soon.
