I'm looking at buying a 2000 Jaguar S type as a third car. I have a BMW 8 series and a Mercedes C63 AMG. I've just sold my Lexus LS, and think that this is the route I want to go now.

I love the look of these cars, and think the sound of the AJV8 is just glorious.

I'm a do-it your selfer when I can handle it, so the idea of a slightly older jag should have a bunch of adventure in store for me through out the rest of the summer as I get her ready for winter.

I've never owned a Jaguar before, and I'm not really sure why.

I know i should be looking around the 06 age, but this 2000 is in the colour I want, with the interior i want and the price is to die for! So as long as the 00 isn't totally murder i'll go that route, otherwise there's an 01 Audi S8 at a beautiful price point too. But I'd rather the jag.

Welcome to the forum Adrian, if you are happy working on the 'sharknose' BM, then you should be OK with the Jag.
