Smile Proud (hopefully) new owner!

Hi Everyone,

I'm Matt and live in SoCal. Just bought a beautiful 2000 XJ8. My first Jag and so far so good. Unfortunately having some mechanical issues right off the bat, but hopeful that will all be over soon.

I've always been the guy that has had a new car or a lease and just took it in to the dealership for service once in a while. Now that I've got this beauty I want to make sure I learn all I can and starting doing what I can myself.

So far this forum has been great and extremely helpful. Looking forward to being a solid contributing member once I get settled.

I'm (hopefully as well) about to buy my first Jag.. and '06 X Type Sport! Really wanting to read threads and see pictures but I guess my newbie status prevents that :/

Default Hey Matt

I'm in So Cal (Orange County) as well. I picked up a 2000 XJR a few months back.

I found a great indy mechanic down here (Mission Viejo) if you're local that has helped me take care of some small issues if you're interested.

Default Local Mission Viejo Mechanic?

Hey guys - I have a 2000 XJR and just moved down to San Clemente. Is there a good indie mechanic down here or in Mission Viejo you'd recommend? Thanks!
