Default Ride Quality

Hi All

I am a new XK8 owner very pleased to have one after a long search. However the car has 20s and makes for a very hard ride on the country roads around me. Would dropping down to 18s help and if so where might these be found.

Default I think so...

I think the more rubber between the wheel and the road makes a softer ride..

Welcome to the forum Tintenbar,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I had a 2001 XK8 Coupe on 18 inch Impeller followed by a 2005 XK8 Coupe on 20 inch Sepang wheels. The difference in ride quality was extraordinary with the 20 inch being so much harsher. Never again! My current XK is on 19 inch Carelia which is a good compromise.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xk8-xkr-x100-17/ to the XK8/XKR forum for help, advice and information.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia - NSW Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/australia-new-south-wales-act-93/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
