Default S Type 2.7 Diesel system code

I realise that this issue has probably been discussed ad nauseam but I have just taken possession of a 2007 S Type and find that it wants a code for radio, sat nav etc. I have contacted the 2 previous owners by use of details in service book but neither of them has any knowledge of this but note of recent battery replacement which has been the root of this problem I dont yet have v5 so dealers wont help.

Welcome to the forums Oldgeezer,

It is a regular issue with European specification models. The reliable way is to ask a dealer for which you will need proof of ownership - not necessarily a V5C if this is still in progress with DVLA. If one of the Tech members who work at a Jaguar dealer sees your post, they may offer to look it up for you.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ed-v8-x200-15/ to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
