Hi everyone! I need some honest feed back on a S type V8 2000 car that I am thinking of buying. I currently have a BMW 745i same year and can do a trade in. The Jag is beautiful and in excellent physical condition, has had one owner and all service done religiously. The BMW has 85,000 miles and the Jag has 90,000. Jag is a nicer car physically. I was wondering about the reliablity of the engine? Can you get in 200k miles like you can with a well serviced Mercedes Benz or BMW? I know both German cars have some issues of their own mainly electronics, but the engines are very strong on these cars if maintained the way they should be. I have driven German cars my entire life either a Beemer or Benz. I have read several mixed reviews on this car and wanted to hear from Jag owners before I make the decision. It basically is a even trade. Your input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
