Default Saying Hi to All.

Hi Everybody!!

Just dropping a wee message to say Hi to all on here. I have recently bought a 2001 Jaguar S-Type. It is the base model V6 3.0 but I prefered the manual gearbox rather than the autobox so that did restrict my options as did finding one that was actually in good mecahnical condition with decent bodywork.

I live in Northern Ireland, East of Belfast on the Peninsula.

Typically I like all things four wheeled and older. The S-type is the newest car I have owned. I have a:
1969 Series 2a Land Rover Airportable.
1969 Reliant Scimitar SE5a GTE
1978 Reliant Scimitar SE6a GTE

Looking forward to doing some light tinkering + fettling to make her handle, stop and go well so will be on here quite often researching I have no doubt.

Welcome to JaguarForums!

It's good to have you with us. Some prefer an autobox, but personally I think you have made a good choice in getting a manual box - so much more you can do :-)

I have a basic model X-Type, much as you have a basic S-Type but it is still completely Jaguar - congratulations on your purchase.

As and when you get a chance you may want to check out
UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum which is the UK specific area - a great place to find other locals, and see what is upcoming in your area
and
S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum - a great area full of people who have a huge intimate knowledge of your model of Jaguar.

Additionally If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.If you need help with getting around and using the forum follow this link for some help Forum Help or just drop me a line and I'll do what I can to help...

Cheers for the Info. updated my Signature to show the model details. Forgot to say i'm no stranger to Jaguar ownership, one of my earliest cars I had was a Black 1982 XJS, so called V12 H.E.

She had to go eventually though, ended up breaking her up and selling on as much as I could. Was sad but had to be done. Too much tin worm.

Reliant, oh my, that brings back chills I forgot. Only had private imports of them here.

A manual S Type, rare as can be down here also.

A late 'Welcome' to Jaguar Forums from me TJMamba.

I've been away driving my Jaguar across Europe and had no internet access.
