Default Scampsuzi - Leaking S Type Trunks

Many people have had trouble with leaking boots or trunks on S type Jaguars, well I seem to have hit on a cheap and apparently very effective cure and it is simply spraying silicone on your rubber! No, not that rubber!! I bought some silicone to cure a sticky passenger door and it worked so I thought I'd spray the boot seal rubber. The net result was an easier opening boot and inspite of torrential rain, a leak free trunk! Give it a go, costs very little and has worked for me.

Welcome to the forum Scampsuzi,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums. You'll have had plenty of opportunity to test your waterproofing recently!

I've moved your post from the end of an old Intro to a new thread of your own.

Follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK Region forum by following this link UK - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

Enjoy the forums.
