Default Searched a long time, finally have one

Dear Jaguar enthusiast,

After a very long search, driving many kilometers to check out XK8/XKR's in various conditions I finally found the right one, an X100 - XKR convertible, build 11/2000 (M01) LGL/AGD with 62.000 miles (Originally sold in the US so miles and LHD). The previous owner imported the XKR in 2008 to the Netherlands and after 11 years of ownership I bought it from him. I received the full maintenance history (lot's of work done, incl the tensioners) with the purchase. The car is in good condition (rust free, only needs a interior and exterior detail (good as done)) but as always with a 19 year old car, there are some items that need attention/replacing:

1. Mirror switch driver side (replaced/done)
2. Rear view mirror (electrochromic leak, replaced/done)
3. Exhaust note (not really necessary, still, bought an adamesh exhaust/done)

Items still to do:
4. Broken alu part in roof frame (previous owner managed to get a golfclub in between while opening so this part broke). I have no idea how to fix this yet so will be seeking advice on this forum.
5. Convert navigation to 3 gauge (already bought the cable, a gauge cluster and a new trim piece). For the moment I don't feel like buying a complete new dash kit so I have bought a piece of oatmeal leather(vinyl) to cover the replacement trim piece. No, this will not be the original look but for now hopefully ok. As my dash has the "milk" issue I want to replace it in the future anyways (if someone has one for sale, let me know).
6. Fix airbag fault code 49. Already searched the forum but doesn't seem to be a good fix...tips are welcome.
7. Fix the seatbelt warning. It doesn't work, for many this would be a nice thing but I want it to work as it should and receive a warning if I forget my seatbelt! also here, tips are welcome.

Long intro, hope you appreciate. I look forward to contribute.
Brgds, hd

Welcome to the Forums.

The right car IS the right car, well done.

Good luck with the "catch up", which appears not too bad.
