Hello All, Richard Webber from Little Rock Arkansas. I owned a white/oatmeal 1996 Jaguar XJ6 for a period of three years, and sold it a few months ago and purchased the current Black/Black 1999 Jaguar XJR. It was in pristine condition on the interior, but the paint left some things to be desired. A full detail & polish later and things are much more copesetic. I have worked in many industries, including the automotive (Managed a shop in Little Rock in which we specialized in handbuilding turbo and supercharger kits for vehicles ranging from Z06's to Vipers, to imports. We also built our own motors, exhausts, and installed and tuned standalone ecus. We gained quite a bit of attention for some of our 1000 hp plus street cars and twin turboing lexuses and aston martins.) I am currently in the investment banking world operating an algorithmic day trading company based in little rock.

Since purchase of the XJR I have had both fuel pumps die and the dreaded lost sunroof panel occur. Both of these were remedied with minimal cost, with help from previous forums posts.

Anyway I am 29 years old, and of the cars I have driven I am rather impressed with the Jaguars of around the 2000 year model for their quiteness/reliability/power.

Are you planning on modding the Jag?

 

Thanks for the hellos, and to answer the most recent question, I most likely will be modifying it, yes. It seems from what I read that I will most likely pursue the bolt on supercharger upgrade that a memeber here is providing, with a new rear end, and a small dose of water/methanol injection the bring temps down a bit, as liquid intercolling is not my favorite method, but a front mount air/air on this car is rather space constricted.
