Starting out with a 95 XJS and a 2004 XJ8
Greetings everyone. I thought I should get my post count up so as not to get get pruned.
I purchased my 95 XJS a little over 2 years ago and have enjoyed it trouble free for 2 summers now. It had a little over 50,000 miles on it and I purchased it in Florida and had it shipped to my Toronto location. All I have done to it is detail it.
Here is a picture taken last spring:

Then, in Dec. 09 I picked up a vehicle for my vacation home that I couldn't resist; a 2004 XJ8 with 21,400 miles on it for the price of a used Honda, $12,500. This one was picked up in the Miami area, and stays in south Florida. It is fantastic to drive and is one more thing my wife and I look forward to when we are on holidays down south.
Again, here is a picture, it's Seafrost and all I have done to it is detail it.

So there it is, my Jag collection that sits separated by almost 1500 miles.

hi jcwells n welcome to the fold
Its good to have you here as part of the forum. Please please do keep your post count up...There are many ways to do this, such as welcoming new members, posts into the off topic section, maybe add a pic of yourself into the mug shot thread and generally socialise. Now that you're here, we wouldn't wanna lose you
Certainly once you get your post count up into the 15-20 region you're pretty safe from having your membership pruned.
Lovin both cars, really really stunning looking examples

Welcome to you too Niles...great to have you as a member, lookin forward to seeing your Jag purchase!
Enjoy the site
Good to be here.
With respect to the photo work, I use Photoshop CS3. First I do the best job I can of selecting just the car, and then I apply a gaussian blur to the background.
Here is another one of my rides a 1987 560SEC Mercedes with the same effect.

Thanks for the welcomes. Yes I have been lucky enough to enjoy a number of vehicles over the years.
Never one to buy new, I am content to wait a few years and buy when the price suits me. There is no particular rime or reason to the cars I own just what has struck my fancy over the years. As a result I currently have British, German, American, and Japanese vehicles in the garage right now.
I do almost all my own work, including paint and body work in a temporary booth I set up in the garage.
Here is my primary winter ride which I sprayed last fall:
As it was, a 94 E320 Wagon:

As it is now:

The XJS is actually up for work this spring. I need to fix a number of cracks on the lower front bumper, and respray both it and the rear bumper to clean up a number of minor scrapes that are well beyond buffing.
