Hello, I am new to this Forum. My 2006 s type jaguar is stuck in reverse and will not start. The "R" light is on but the gear stick is in "P". I know the car is stuck in reverse gear because when I walk behind the car the backup buzzer rings. Does anyone know what is wrong?!

Check out the S Type section, you will find this problem.

IIRC, maybe a plastic part on the selector has broken.

Hope you get it fixed.

The plastic part was the early cars, my money is on the bolts securing the shift cable.
Check in the S section and you will find info on both.
