Suspension
Welcome to the forum Larry,
There's a few clues there:
1. no steel carrier (all early Jaguar IRS had this)
2. outboard brakes (early brakes were inboard)
3. wishbone design - two part with welded seam
4. single damper/spring unit each side
Makes me think it's probably from an XJ40 (manufactured 1986-94) but an early one.
Members in XJ40 forum (https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj40-xj81-25/) will be able to conform my theory or blow it out of the water.
Graham
