Hello, Cody,
Monetary "Worth" is so often in the eye of the seller first, and then after Reality sets in, in the eye of the Buyer.
Mostly things are worth what you can sell them for if you're selling, or what you can buy them for if you're buying.
Doubtless someone in the XJS section will have a better idea than either of us.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums Cody,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJS forum with this question so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

A 36 year old V12 would not be my choice for a first Jaguar. The XJS is a superb vehicle when properly and regularly maintained but with only 13,000 miles, it is almost certain to cost a lot of time and money to make it reliable. This needs to be an itch you have to scratch rather than a whim or you will not enjoy the experience.

Welcome to the Forums.

I will stay out of the advice, as our market for them is insane.

1982 is at a model change, PreHE and HE, the first gulps fuel, the latter drinks, and the market has no care, just that they are different beasts.

Good luck from Downunder.
