Default Thinking of a Jag

Hello. Current Mercedes S550 owner looking to possibly own an either XJ or XFR Jaguar. Just signing in to do a bit of research on the cars as I've never owned a Jaguar before.

I like my S550 a lot so the bar is set pretty high but the car is now out of warranty and the maintenance bills can be pretty legendary. Saw an XFR on the road yesterday that caught my eye so I started to do some digging to find more info about this breed.

Cheers,

Tom

Hi Tom,

Welcome and I hope you make the leap to the car with a leaping Jaguar in it's logo.

Here's the dedicated forum for the XFR

XF and XFR ( X250 ) - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum

join in and ask away if you've got any questions. What part of Ontario are you in?

I'm in KW area.

The more I read about it the more I'm starting to lean towards an XJ now I really have to take both for a test drive. I'm a big guy (6'2") so I need all the leg room that I can find and looking at the pics, the XFR could be a big tight.

Yes, there's quite a price jump between the two, but since I'm buying a daily driver, I'm not looking to buy a new one anyways I kill cars with miles.

Tom

Welcome to this friendly forum, certainly good advice to try before you buy.
I can only speak for the XKR but there isn't a lot of head room.

Don't worry Jim, we've got Graham The Penguin on our side to protect us.

Doesn't look much like him though -too much hair - but that is his brolly.

Lol. Thanks for the nice welcome. Certainly a nice change from the MB forums. Lot of "elites" over on the MB side.

Looks like a lot of people on here that actually know a thing or two about cars, I'm a bit of a gear-head myself.
