Default Ticking noise 2018 Jaguar XE

Has anyone ever had a ticking noise come from behind the driver’s side front wheel? I have a 2018 XE V6 with a little over 65k miles. The oil was just changed Winter 2024. The noise is a tick like a clock. When I first start the car, the engine idles high around 4 thousand RPM and after 4 or 5 seconds it lowers to normal and in those first few seconds I do not hear the tick. It isn’t until it lowers to normal that I hear it. When I press the pedal the tick does not speed up it stays the same. I don’t think it’s the engine and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem before I take it to the dealer.

Welcome to the Forums.

I would also mention where you call home, as these cars CAN vary for different markets.

Good luck.
