Default Time for my first Jaguar

Hi,

after some 30 years driving all different cars in Sweden, I've now bought my first Jaguar . I sold my AUDI RS6 (truly amazing car) and wanted a 4-wheel drive to ride with style. Luckily I found a 2002 X-type sedan with only 115000km at a bargain (55000SEK). The seller was 90 years old and had not driven during winter the past 8 years, just parked in a garage, so it is truly in mint condition :-)

Next week I'm taking it to a corrosion protection shop, and then my next step is to upgrade the electronics in the car, with new stereo, upgraded speakers, navigation, parking sensors, parking camera, and possibly some more yum-yum. Unfortunately the car was not equipped with DSC (anti-skid), but I will see if it is needed now when snow is coming to Sweden.

I must say that the first 4 weeks with the car has been really nice and a positive surprise. I thought I would miss my RS6 with 500HP, but I actually don't.

If I have problems it feels great to have this huge pool of knowledge and experience to turn to. See you around /Magnus

Hello, Magnus,
Congratulations on a Great Find!!

If you haven't already found your way there, we have a very active X-type section where you'll be right at home. If you haven't found your way there, someone will be along soon to direct you.

Welcome to the forum Magnus,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I converted
55000SEK to 4800 UKP to understand the vehicle cost as I've previously read some huge prices paid for used Jaguars in the Scandinavian countries. You got a good deal on the X-Type.

I can see you've already found your way to the X-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Europe Region forum by following this link Europe - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
