I recently bought a 2005 Jaguar X350 v6 3.0 which has only done 52k. On trying out the satnav, I found it would always say “postcode not found in database”. The disc with the car is 2003, so I purchased a genuine Jaguar 2012 disc, hoping it would solve the problem, but it did exactly as the original disc did. I can enter addresses by road and to n name, but this is laborious. Can anyone help, please? Also, how do I set my own address as the “Home” location?

X350 v6 3.0 petrol 2005

 

I had exactly the same problem and found that I needed to put a space between the digits ie NE25 space 2EF. instead of NE252EF. works fine now but a few years behind the times as the latest update was 2012.

Thanks for your welcome! I spent some happy times in Charleston and Summerville in the 1990s and have fond memories of both.

With help from other members, I have now sorted both satnav problems. Thanks to everyone who offered solutions.
