Default XJ Newbie

Hi folks

Thought I'd stick my nose in and say a big hello

Just picked up a 1996 XJ6 yesterday, after loads of MG, and Landrover ownership and i do love it . . . Apart from

The bugger won't start!! Got back last night went to nip out in it and it cranks but won't fire
Left it until this morning and bingo started straight away . . .
Put it in the drive today and it won't start again!!

There seems to be a million and one different things it could be but could someone please point me in the right direction as to the thing that could be causing it?

Fuels getting through, wiggled the gear stick, Removed the panel by my drive foot and moved the wiring about, slammed the boot lid etc. . But still just cranks and won't fire

Help . . .

Yours in desperation

Craig
