Question xk8 love it but

bought a 2004 xk8 x, which now has 108.000 miles, great car, drive it around 8000 miles a year and hope to have it a very long time. The large trunk (boot) makes it great for long trips. One problem, a very noisy squeak somewhere in the dash area. Still there with the top down, just cannot find it and it is driving me crazy.
any ideas one where it could be, how to find, fix or? I have just tried and tried and no luck

welcome to the forum

concerning the noise - check the front upper shock mounts - if the foam is flaking apart - this can cause a chirp as you have metal to metal contact between the 2 plates in the mount - when mine pancaked - it had a constant squeak that sounded like it was in the dash area.

hope you can find/resolve soon so you can better enjoy her!!
