Default XKRS Traction Problems

I purchased a 2015 XKRS with 5K miles about 7 months ago. Love the car and the color (FRB) but once the temperature fell below 70 Degrees F it's ability to hook up was terrible. I literally couldn't even cross an intersection without breaking the rear tires loose. I have a new Z06 Corvette and a couple of year old Cadillac CTSV that both have Michelin Super Sport tires and have little problems so I replaced the OEM P-Zero's with the Michelins. Low an behold the world has returned to it's correct orbit. Whoever at Jaguar thought that PZeros were a good idea should go to work for Kia or some other low performing car company. Just a tip, if your having traction problems get the Pirelli's off and find a dumpster to store them in.

I seem to recall my XK came with Dunlop summer sport tires that couldn't stick if the road was made of flypaper. After a couple of hair-raising experiences I switched to Nito Motivos and they hug the road amazingly well. You'll find as many opinions on tires here as there are members.

Hello,
Good to know about the Pirellis! I've always preferred Michelins myself.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
