Smile yet another newbie

Hi all
My name is John but my friends call me jd
I'm new to the forum and live in Perth Western Australia. I have a 2001 Jaguar xk8 coupe (black).
I tend to use this type of forum to get advice from the more experienced members on all sorts of things. I am not a mechanic or service man but I am pretty handy as a back yard engineer and can cope with most tasks.
Unfortunately I'm also old (retired) and so the modern computer electrics do sometimes leave me scratching my head in wonder.
Please be patient when I ask my first silly question!
thanks
jd

Hi John,
Welcome to this very friendly forum. You will find excellent advice here when things go wrong.
Don't worry about asking, nobody is perfect and everybody starts somewhere.

Enjoy the car and the forum.

Welcome to the forum jd,

Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.

If you get stuck whilst you're learning your way around here, post again in this thread.

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

I've added vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. This should show up in your next post. If you want it amending, let me know.

You can also visit the Australia / New Zealand Region section by following this link Australia / New Zealand - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your country.

Enjoy the forum.

Graham

I am also new and I live in Perth WA too, and am a member of the Jaguar Car Club here. I have a BRG 1990 XJ40...love it !
I'm also not too familiar with forums and I still don't know how to add my vehicle details to my signature so I'm hoping that Graham will do something for me ?;;Cheers

Brian,

Your vehicle details should appear when you make your next post.
