Youngest F type owner?
Hi everyone, just took delivery of my new to me 2016 F type V6 S AWD convertible, Bought it certified pre owned at Jaguar of Fort Lauderdale, really great guys, walked in around 5, test drove the car, asked to take it home, they told me to bring it back before they closed, the next morning signed the paper and took delivery, car has been amazing, and I'm already in love, but has already had a few minor issues pop up, all being taken care of by Warranty, new headlight due to having moisture inside of it, Speakers making very loud hum and buzzing sound (upgraded Meridian unit), making it almost impossible to listen to Music, and a few of the hard buttons around the screen have had some peeling. Put about 250 miles on it since taking Delivery yesterday and already on the second tank of fuel, my first convertible and wow what an experience. I'm coming from a 2018 Infiniti Q50 Red-sport, which got Lemon Law'd and its truly amazing the quality and level of refinement. In terms of Performance, I think up top the Infiniti may be faster, off the line the LC and AWD of the F type have it. but everything else is miles ahead, especially the Exhaust, I've changed out the exhaust on every car i've ever owned, and have felt no need to change this one, (it is the Active exhaust), at the right Gear, when you let off and a few taps of the Gas, it sounds like a Machine gun!, I think even more them my buddies M4 Competion with M performance exhaust, and this just sounds miles better. almost think its not stock, I believe that the F type v6 has resonators, and I checked under the car briefly and only saw the rear muffler, Im having it lifted soon to truly see, because I think it may have A resonator delete. I don't know much about the F type, I don't plan to mod much either, as I don't want to void the warranty, and well, car parts aren't cheap. I am having the car wrapped in a full clear bra and the window's tinted next week, and ordered some new Paddle shifters as Im not a fan of the plastic ones currently. I do want to find the Bronze start button and Mode selector switch as my car has the Black pack. I'd also love to know the Age of some the owners, I know this will probably upset some people or offend others as I've already noticed it has in the public, (car was spit on waiting at a light when I had the top down a few hours ago). I turn 17 March, so I'm thinking I'm more then likely one of the youngest owners on the Forum, for a full disclosure I did have help getting this car, I've been fortunate to have parents that are in the position to help me, and are willing too. A little back story, when I was 13, I would buy cheap cars from pawn shops or Craiglist, clean them up and sell them for small profit in about a week, I did this for about 3 years straight, with a little help from my father, I took the money I made with that, and a few choice investments and made myself pretty comfortable, as well as full time job over the summer , I was able to purchase my first and lease my second car, and Now with the help of my father and Depreciation I was able to jump into this , I debated weather or not I should put that out there, but I don't believe I have anything to hide, and am just a car guy who wants to learn and know more about what he has, what I can do to it, and the community. Thank you. - Phillip
