I went to two car meets, yesterday, Supercar Sunday in Woodland Hills followed by Piazza Gran Turismo in Thousand Oaks. Nice turnout at both with the usual contingents of Ferraris, Lambos, McLarens, Porsches, etc. but at Piazza Gran Turismo an unusual attendee was a Lexus LFA which happened to be parked next to my Pantera. I have to say, forgetting about its considerable prowess, it's just plain ugly! It looks like a car put together by a committee none of whom ever met each other. It looks more like a 20 year old Celica that's been custom uglified.
And I certainly wouldn't rank it up in the same aesthetics class as the Pantera. What do you think?
Not many cars can compare with the lithe beauty of a Pantera, but I don't think that the Lexus is ugly. Modern cars will never look the same as vintage machines.
Rivguy,
I respect your opinion, however, I honestly think it is ugly, has no flow of body lines and far too upright. If it were packaged in a body like the Lexus LC500, I could understand it, but remember this is a million dollar car in the marketplace, not a $25000 Celica. Can you even imagine what an automotive designer like Ian Callum or Henrik Fisker would think about this design?
My own opinion is similar with a lot of current Japanese cars. They look like someone is trying to bring anime to life! Put a scoop here, a bulge there, a crease on top of that thing there, how cool is that? Just STOP already!!!!
One thing I especially despise is the HUGE grille openings that are mostly filled with black plastic. What the hell?

c16rkc,
I agree with you completey on the LC500 being a more "imaginative," however the LFA really is unattractive (if you prefer to "ugly."). And at the million dollars that they are bringing now, I just don't understand the aesthetics.
How anyone can think paying a million bucks for one of those boggles my mind, I can only assume they are perhaps seen as an investment due to the rarity?
