Cool Nice day, took a few pictures

Today was a glorious day so I went for a little drive. I thought I'd share a few pictures with you guys. The Jag probably is getting due for a bath, but the pictures hide it pretty well.

Oh, and since I haven't shown my face here is one of me:

Somehow the pairing of a guy that looks perhaps like a teenager with the XK8 looks incongruous. I don't mean that in a bad way but just ironic. I guess the same can be said for an old fart like me and my Torch Red 95 Corvette--again, incongruous

Haha, its my good breeding stock. I'm 25 actually. Hopefully my youthful visage stays with me.

It's not too bad. There are few vehicles I truly fit well it (I'm 6'8") but with the seat all the way back its pretty good. I have to recline a slight bit more than I would like to get a little extra headroom with the top up, but nothing uncomfortible. I've taken her on a four hour drive to visit some friends back at my alma mater and I was less stiff than I was in my '87 Mercury Cougar (which has much more leg and head room). My oldest brother (who is 6'9" and outweighs me by about 60lbs. with a longer torso and shorter legs) could not get comfortable behind the wheel (even with the top down) but doesn't mind riding with me when he visits. I'm not sure what it is about the layout, but the car is more comfortable than several other vehicles I tested that had more room.

I was doing valet work at my friends wedding last year and got the privileged of parking a Honda S2000. If there was ever a vehicle not built for tall people, that is it. I could hardly drive it, but the girl working with me couldn't drive a stick, so I was forced to shoehorn in. I'm sure it was an interesting sight.

Wow, 6'+ers hate riding in my car, even with the seats all the way back. Of course, they're not as skinny as you K. Its hard to tell its BRgreen in the shadows. Is that dirt i see?

It's sitting on some dirt and it has a bit of dirt on it. Tomorrow is bath day for the fleet (or at least my two cars)

Nice pics, but just out of curiosity, is this the same jag as the one one on your previous posts? I could swear that the earlier pictures showing your car (the picture of the back showing the vanity plates) was blue (pacific blue, same as mine) but these pics show a definite green.

Same Jag and its always been British racing green. The light in the other picture and the small size made it look pacific blue. You were not the only one fooled. I had another member send me a message asking for the paint code for Pacific Blue which I didn't have.

You need the chrome taillight surrounds...IMO they really liven up the back end

Nice car!

Nice car!
Thank you. I usually like chrome, but I don't really like the chrome surrounds on these cars. I would like to upgrade to the newer jewel style tail lights, but I probably will end up just keeping these. I do plan on the Mina Gallery exhaust at some point because the lack of an audible soundtrack to the V8 is killing me especially compared the wonderful noises my Cougar's V8 currently makes.
