2000 XK8 - Radio Issue
The radio is working fine - power - display - power Antenna - my problem is that there is no sound to the speakers.
Would this be the result of the security code or do I need to check the wiring? OR the AMP?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Round #2
I checked the fuses and they are fine. I pulled the Amp & CD changer out and cleaned everything. CD changes fine (still) and the AMP fan is running. When I reconnected the battery power the radio didn't request the codes???
Still no sound.
Anything else I can check?? I was wondering if the telephone mute would be the cause. There isn't a phone in the car but the controls are installed, of course.
Any suggestions??

Mike,
Presuming you have checked for signal at the speakers and I cant i,agine a problem simultaneous to all, you may want to see if you have output from the unit and a connector out in the harness someplace. I am not familiar with your radio model or access to know if you can get to the back of it. If so, start there and try to verify if signal is coming out from the amp. Now is a good time to buddy up to a phone guy and use his inductive amplifier (signal sniffer) this will pick up the audio signal if you get close to the wire. At least that will narrow the chase to wire between here and there. The sniffer also helps to find where it stops if you do have signal out of amp. You can pick one up at Graybar electrical.
You probably will need help from some one else more familiar with your system than I am if you do not have output from the amp but I will try.
Let me know how you make out.
With Best regards,
Steven (1AVguy)
