Default Type 00 accidentally leaked?

Saw this online earlier, went to show my partner tonight and they were taken down. Interesting. Better than I was expecting tbh, if its real. It was on https://www.independent.co.uk/cars/e...-b2642580.html

No way it is even close to real, pure AI fantasy.

i would have agreed, but it was pulled, and it was literally the only website that had 'released it' at that point. I wish i had the story/text that went with it, there was good detail in the story... even showed an opening slot for a handbag where the Leaper is... or wait whats it called now, the "makers mark"

Interior. Story mentioned bronze and stone as materials.

Looks very realistic - NOT!
The whole thing smacks of a cartoon to me, The Flintstones maybe?
But let's wait and see what the actual unveil shows.

I now identify myself as a non-buynary....

One can't help but think they never intended to launch a car before the ad went viral and they spent the last two weeks telling chatGPT to watch the ad and to come up with something aligned with Jag's newly found DEI religion. This Lady Penelope version fits the bill.

Gasp, Sir William has doubled his rotation rate to 20,000 rpm.

Some early reviews:

Bronze and stone eh? Those lightweight cutting-edge materials - when weight is the enemy of efficiency.... Maybe the new Flintstone's car?

It'll never sell. No chance.
Why?
It's got no windscreen wipers.

Pancaked two-door Dodge Magnum meets HVAC. "Copy nothing!"

Type 00 seems fitting.
As in near as dammit to zero sales.

The CyberJag is born!! And on Cyber Monday. By the looks of it, Elon might make an offer to buy Jaguar and make OO the Cybertrucks "partner".

Type Zero Zero? Type Double-O? Type None (sold), Type Oooooo? Here we go again from the very beginning with total confusion on what to call the thing.

Type @@, Type , Type (O)(O)? Type Ought Ought? How about "BRICK".

To add: I was really hoping for a pleasant, appropriate, even exciting name. I was sure the word "Type" would not appear. I've always hated that model name in all its forms. Disconnect from the past. Delete ordinary. Live vivid etc etc. I am offended the most by its new name. It couldn't be worse!

Is it wrong that i really like it?... Don't get me wrong, i love my F-type and will always be the last real Jag, but it looks like it would be the size of a fiat 500 next to the 00?. Im a little sad its not a production model. Be nice.

The leaks continue. This accessory is said to reduce drag and increase efficiency. An afterthought I hear you say but at least they're open to make adjustments and are listening to the public.

When the C-X16 concept was revealed back in the day, I was still a graduate school student and I instantly fell in love with the design. Then the production F-Type was announced and it became a goal that, if I worked hard enough, might be attainable some day. Some years later, I was able to achieve that goal.

It breaks my heart to see that a brand that I love has decided to throw everything I love about it away and go in an incoherent direction with a concept design that is simply not cohesive. When the last XJ came out it was also controversial but it was still unmistakeably a Jaguar. It had elegance and sophistication which is missing entirely from these renderings.

This is essentially betting the entire farm on an uglier version of the I-Pace. I can't see them attracting even one new customer for every 10 they've turned off in the last couple of weeks.

Regardless of styling which is a personal thing that will appeal to some but not others, the real shame is the minimizing of the leaper logo and the "cat" badging that was so iconic. Brands are usually striving to develop some recognizable symbol that sticks but this is just weird to abandon it after all these years. Kind of like if Mercedes or BMW would do away with their star and propeller logos, respectively or if Ferrari would eliminate their horse.

And now Jaguar announces it was all kidding. “Jaguar has revealed it was ‘only joking’ after its radical rebrand and the hugely anticipated public debut of its Type 00 concept car.”

Poe's law is based on a comment written by Nathan Poe in 2005 on christianforums.com, an Internet forum on Christianity. The message was posted during a debate on creationism, where a previous poster had remarked to another user: "Good thing you included the winky. Otherwise people might think you are serious".

When you start out with something as abrupt and over-the-top as Jaguar's latest ad campaign, it's almost hard to create something satirical around it that isn't more believable than the ad campaign itself. It's a parody of itself already.
