Default 2005 S-Type 3.0 For Sale

2005 Jaguar S-Type V6, 54K miles. Platinum with two-tone ivory/mocha interior. Car is very clean and straight. Everything works. No issues, all service records and up to date on service. Recent oil change and A/C service. Recent brakes using Akebono ceramic pads, all brackets and calipers painted and detailed. Tires are about 50%.

I am the second owner and it was purchased off lease as a Jaguar “Select Edition” certified car, so no accidents, clean carfax. I have owned this car for four years and never drove it in snow in that time and only got caught in the rain once. It was used as a Sunday/nice weather driver which explains the only 9K miles in four years. It was always stored inside a heated garage. I clay bar and waxed it religiously once a year and kept the leather treated properly. The only issues are two wheels have minor curb rash (which has been touched up, you really have to look to see it) and one wheel has some scrapes on it all done by the previous owner.

New price is $10,500

I am only selling because I have had it for four years and want something different. My Dad bought a Porsche and now I’m thinking about a 911. I can be contacted at wally509@yahoo.com or by cell phone at 847-431-3659. The car is located in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Do you think I'm realistic here on the price? Obviously, I'm willing to take a little less than the asking price. The car is really clean, even the door jams and wheel wells are clean.

And agreed on Boxsters, mainly because they're all over the place. Caymans not so much. After my Dad bought his, a Cayman "normal" (how Porsche refers to their base models), Porsche NA invited us to one of those Porsche Driver's experience at Autobahn Country Club. I got to drive the Caymans and 911s on track as well as on the street. In comparison, the Cayman just felt so much lighter on it's feet and flickable, the way a Porsche should be. The 911 felt heavy in comparison (and they are heavy, but what isn't these days), but rode better and had more juice plus...it's a 911...not much else to say.

Sorry to get off topic but any chance to talk cars.

Wally, in my humble opion, I believe that is a very fair asking price for your vehicle.

Again good luck and I hope you get really close to the price.

I might have had that bottle of wine the other night but I didnt think I was going crazy

Yeah from someone whos a dealer (besides being a long time enthusiast & owner) plus having bought and sold 2 of these recently for friends, it is a very fair retail price to ask.
