Classic engine tuning tools – only multi-carb engines need apply!


The three most helpful tools to get your multiple-carburetted engine properly set up. Used for my dearly departed S1 E-Type. All in very good condition.


Item 1. Colortune Kit - has a clear spark plug that lets you look into the combustion chamber while the engine is firing. The color of the combustion flame tells you if the mixture is correct. With the carburettor mixture screw you can then adjust the flame color to get the correct mixture. This is the original (made in the UK) kit for the 14mm plug size in its fitted box. Comes with web-link to instructions in color. Also comes with a 12mm plug adaptor. $30.







Item 2. Synchrometer – provides a direct measurement of the air flow through the carburettor. The way to accurately synchronize multiple carburettors. Comes with instructions. Made in West Germany (as it was at the time!). $30.



Item 3. PSW 89-906 SU carburettor testing and adjustment tool – provides a visual means of simultaneously inter-comparing the dynamic piston positions of up to three SU carbs through their full range of motion. Comes with instructions. Made in West Germany (ditto). $20.
