I own a 98 VDP X308 and an 04 Xtype 3.0 and do the majority of work on my cars myself. I am seeking recommendations for a scan tool that will also provide engine data such as O2 sensor outputs, ABS wheel speeds, SRS fault codes etc. These would be primarily on the 98. I know that there are $2000.00 scanners out there that can do the job however they are too costly for the amount of use that I would have. I am looking for personal recommendations of make and model of scanners that you have had success with.

Doesn't anyone have any comments as to a recommended reader? I am sure their must be a backyard mechanic out there working on these cars that has a reasonably prices scanner/ data reader that they could recommend. I am all ears.
