I have two XK8s. A good running 97 and a 2001 that needs a engine. I have a 75000 mile extra A26 that I would like to trade for an A27. Willing to buy outright also. Minnesota area. John 952-567-1197

 

You might consider keeping the short block of the AJ26, I did the swap- just need AJ27 heads/cams. You can take the other parts off the bad AJ27 (oil pickup, Flex plate, lower sump etc.)

 

Thanks for the info. I have one bad head. Chain broke valves hit the piston. I have a low mileage A26 but I think with the new head, gaskets and chains that I would have to buy it might be cheaper to find a good A27 for my 2001 XK8. Thanks John
