Hi need help with my Radio code
Story so far:
Changed the Battery, Car asks for code so I get my code card (5738) but it won't accept it.Contacted Dealer and the code is correct, dealer thinks that the radio may have been replaced by former owner. Dealer says get radio out and send it to a Radio encoder service (150 Euros ) 3 years ago the code worked ! I pulled the radio and got a picture of the Serial number. Can anybody tell me the correct code

My car is a 99 S-type 3.0 manuel and is called Ruby for her wonderful red color

It's basically a ford radio, according to the serial number the code should be 9254

When you say the code worked 3 years ago what do you mean?

 

I can't thank you enough for the help that you have given me. The code worked first time. You have saved me money and grief. I don't understand why Jaguar couldn't have done the same thing. I gave the same information to them and they had built the car. Thank you so much for helping

Probably someone put the wrong code card in at the original dealer and no-one ever noticed. Or the item was replaced but the code card was not. Human error just happens.

 

Hi all. Hope all is well. Does any one know were to plug in the CD changer to radio. There is only one spot on radio but two cords in dash that can connect to slot. One goes directly to changer and other is with wire harness in the dash for the radio. Please any help or pics would be awesome. Thanks guys.
